Do I need an architect?

A construction project can be delivered by a competent builder without the involvement of consultants. An architect will, however, develop creative solutions, which comply with relevant legislation, function on a practical level and provide delight day after day.

When should I appoint my architect?

At the very start of a project so that we can help you to build your brief, develop your design, guide you through the planning and procurement process.

Will my architect help me to select a builder and manage the build process?

We will help to prepare your tender list and if required be involved in the selection process. An integral part of the briefing process is agreeing the level of service that you require. This will be reviewed as the project proceeds.

Is it expensive to employ an architect?

This depends on how you view the costs associated with your project. Whilst you will have to pay for our services, we frequently reduce overall costs by producing fully resolved designs and construction information. This will avoid expensive changes and time delays.

Will I need other consultants?

The extent of your design team will depend on the complexity of your project. Most projects will require the services of a structural engineer whilst more complex project will involve a wider range of expertise.
